Alcohol Laws For South Carolina

South Carolina closes bars at two in the morning. Some highlights include 24 hour a day beer purchasing ability (besides Sunday, of course) and slightly looser "happy hour" regulations than their Northern neighbor. Here in South Carolina bars are permitted to have special prices between the hours of 4 pm and 8 pm. "2 for 1" deals and the like are still prohibited, but hey, those are silly specials for suckers anyway, right?

Can I drink outside of the bar?
Nope. Where do you think you are, Bourbon Street?

Are there certain hours when I can't buy alcohol?
Unfortunately, there are some restrictions here.
In the bar: all bars may operate between 10 am and 2 am, seven days a week
At the store: There are no package sales whatsoever on sunday. Liquor may be sold for off premise consumption from 9 AM until 7 PM...beer can be sold 24 hours a day.

You can buy these delights in just a regular grocery store:
Beer
Wine
For everything else, you'll just have to go to a damn liquor store. Like an animal.
