Alcohol Laws For North Carolina

North Carolina is another shallow south state with fairly standard regulations. Bars close at a conservative 2 in the morning and there are strict rules on drink specials. According to ABC.NC.GOV "Happy hours" are forbidden. Special drink prices must be offered to all customers for the entire day and in all areas of the business. Other specials including "Buy one get one" type deals are also a no-go.

Can I drink outside of the bar?
Nope. Where do you think you are, Bourbon Street?

Are there certain hours when I can't buy alcohol?
Unfortunately, there are some restrictions here.
In the bar: Bars stop selling drinks at 2 in the morning. Patrons are generously allowed 30 minutes to finish their last drink before all tables must be clear of booze at 2:30
At the store: You may not purchase (or even COSUME) alcohol before Noon on Sunday.

You can buy these delights in just a regular grocery store:
Beer
Wine
For everything else, you'll just have to go to a damn liquor store. Like an animal.
